HOW TO NAVIGATE YOUR MUSIC CLASS WITH ESE/SE/SF WITH SARAH GRIGG

Sarah Grigg came to SWFL orff Chapter last spring. Her session was incredibly informative! The comments after the session were, “we learned so much from Sarah, we’d like to have her come again”, “please have her come back for 2 or more sessions next year. She is amazing.”

Sarah taught us about the neurological effects of music and the brain, why ESE, SE and SF teachers do what they do in our classrooms, and she even had music to teach us that we never go to. It was quite a day and we are thrilled to have her come back. This will be an unforgettable session that you want to make a priority to attend.

The teachers in our area will be sharing their favorite lesson plans for the holiday season. You will love and gain so much knowledge from some of our teachers. It will be a wonderful day of sharing and learning.

This session is free to anyone who attends.

April 17, 2027 at Patriot Elementary School from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm

Sarah Johns, music teacher at Beachside Elementary, has taught general music for over 20 years. A former high school band director, she found her true calling once she stepped foot in the elementary music classroom. She is a two-time Teacher of the Quarter and Beachside Elementary's Teacher of the Year in 2021. Sarah holds a Bachelors in Music Education from Appalachian State University in North Carolina and a Masters in Music Education from Winthrop University in South Carolina. She has completed AOSA Teacher Education Levels I-III, including post-level master work in 2024. She is a member of the National Association for Music Education, the Florida Music Education Association, the American Orff-Schulwerk Association and is an active member of both the North Florida Orff Chapter in Jacksonville and the Daytona State Community Flute Choir. Sarah resides in Daytona Beach with her Orff-supporting husband, Dale and their two cats, Skeeter and Hobi
